WORLD BOOK DAY

We will be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 5th March, by asking children to come dressed as their favourite book character. There will be book prizes for the most original costume in each class and every child will receive their £1 World Book Token. Please make sure children do come as story book characters not footballers or film characters; the aim is to get children thinking about the books they read. Some great ideas are Elmer, Goldilocks and even some animal characters.

Children will be participating in reading activities during the day as part of their daily lessons. We will also be having a book swap during the day. This will require children to bring in a book that they no longer want (this needs to be in good condition) in order to swap their book for another!

If you would like to find out more information about World Book Day, there are ideas, activities and resources at:  www.worldbookday.com/resources/schools/primary-schools

We look forward to seeing you all dressed up as your favourite character!

Thank you for your continued support.
