APPRENTICE BROADCAST ENGINEERS
FULLY SPONSORED DEGREE PROGRAMME + £11,500 SALARY
LONDON | THREE YEAR CONTRACT | STARTING SEPTEMBER 2014
In September 2014, the BBC will be offering school leavers three year contracts to work and train as Broadcast Engineers in a scheme supported by industry partners ITV, Channel 4, Red Bee Media and Arqiva. This is a higher level apprenticeship that supports study towards a BEng (Hons) Degree in Broadcast Engineering accredited by the Universities of Salford and Birmingham City, whilst also offering work placements with the BBC and some of our partners. All university tuition fees will be paid by the BBC, as well as an apprentice’s salary.
It’s a huge opportunity for people passionate about broadcasting, so in addition to excellent A-levels (or equivalent), you’ll need evidence that you have an interest in media technologies.
Successful applicants will be part of a new generation of Broadcast Engineers that will help to build and support the broadcasting industry.
