In aid of the UNICEF appeal, staff and students can pay a £1 donation to wear festive colours and/or a Christmas jumper.

With tuition fees of up to £9000 a year, choosing the right higher education course has never been so important. There are over 35 000 courses at over 300 universities and colleges in the UK available through UCAS and 750 courses taught in English at European universities. There is a good deal of research to be done!
To help your son/daughter find the right course for them, we are offering access to Centigrade, a higher education selection programme which consists of an online questionnaire which matches interests and abilities to a degree, foundation degree, HND or DipHE course. Once the questionnaire has been completed, students responses are analysed and matched with all the courses available, and the results compiled into a personal workbook. The use of this questionnaire can significantly improve the quality of decision-making and thus reduce the risk of selecting the wrong course, leading to drop-out.
The full cost of the programme is £25 per student, but we have been able arrange a reduction to offer it to students at £5. Please complete the reply slip below to confirm your permission for your son/daughter to complete this questionnaire, which will be completed in school time, together with your payment of £5. Please return the letters by Friday the 13th December so we can prepare the necessary data files.
We cannot stress how useful this programme will be in helping students make the best choices for their University application, and look forward to helping your child in this important decision-making process. The event will provide students with the opportunity to meet employers from a range of investment firms and to hear about their entry level programmes and progression routes within the industry. I have attached a programme for your information.
There are only 40 spaces available for students at this event. If you would like to reserve five places for your students, please let me know as soon as possible and I will allocate these to you. Places will be distributed on a first come first served basis. Students will need to be predicted to achieve 280 UCAS points or more and be prepared to have professional conversations with employers, as the focus of this event is on networking and career development.

At lunchtime Thursday 12th and Friday 13th December for Sixth Form students, this will take place on the Cambridge field players and spectators.
Please help the appeal by donating a minimum of £1 for players and 50p minimum to watch.
