Primary Year 2 Octopus Class – Pizza Express Visit

As part of our topic on ‘Wish you were here’ we have been learning about Italy. We have also been learning about food from all around the world.  As part of our topic we arranged a visit to the Pizza Express in Southgate on 27th January, so the Year 2 children could take part in making their very own pizzas.

The children had a thoroughly good time making their own individual pizzas (and eating them). They were also involved in a general knowledge about Italy to test how much they had learnt on the visit.

The day was a complete success and parents commented how much their children had enjoyed the visit and how much they had learnt.

Ofsted Report December 2014

You can download the latest copy of our Ofsted report here: ecs-ofsted-report-december-2014

Excerpt from our Headteachers letter regarding our Ofsted report in December 2014:

“Our Ofsted report, from the December inspection, is published on the Ofsted website and I am required to provide you with a copy (attached). I hope that you will be pleased and satisfied with the progress that we have made since the last inspection. The inspection regime is much ‘tighter’, the standards are much higher and the expectations greater so we are pleased that the progress we have worked hard to bring about is being recognised. There are two main issues for us – essentially those areas which we need to work on in order to become ‘Outstanding’ (and that’s the goal by the next inspection) – and they are to improve the consistency across the school and to ensure that the least able progress at the same rate as others. If you wish to discuss the Ofsted report with us, please contact your child’s Student Manager or you can email me any comments you have via [email protected]
