At Edmonton County we use a Mastery approach to teaching Maths across our school.  We primarily use White Rose Maths schedules and resources, however, teachers are free to be creative in their approach to bringing Maths to life for our pupils. Teachers adapt planning and resources for each lesson to suit the needs of the learners in their classes.

 

We ensure that in our maths lessons children have opportunities to develop their fluency, reasoning and problem solving and emphasise the importance of using concrete resources to help children really understand concepts.
