How can parents help?

  • Discuss your child’s feeling and emotions at home with them in different situations
  • Always encourage your child to be resilient when they are finding things challenging
  • Talk to your child about growing up and changes which will happen to their bodies
  • Discuss similarities and differences between different people and families
  • Ensure that your child knows how to keep safe
  • Discuss risks and hazards as they arise at home
  • Encourage your child to start thinking about money and saving
