KS4 | Computer Science
Students choose to study Computer Science as a GCSE within the year 9 option system. Within KS4 the students have 6 periods per timetable cycle in year 9, 10 and 11 and they follow the Aqa GCSE Computer Science Course. The students study the following topics: Subject content: Fundamentals of algorithms, Programming, Fundamentals of data representation, Computer systems, Fundamentals of computer networks, Fundamentals of cyber security, Ethical, legal, and environmental impacts of digital technology on wider society, including issues of privacy and aspects of software development. They will be assessed on two papers and a programming project.
