Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG) is available to help our students achieve their desired goals. IAG offers students the opportunity to develop key employment skills – communication, team building, problem solving to name a few, that will enhance their abilities and to get them ready for the world of work. CV writing along with interview techniques are some of the tools used to help students on their journey. Encouraging students to maximise opportunities available to explore different careers is essential to their growth and can happen at any stage in their secondary education. IAG will help to facilitate opportunities such as a summer schools provided by different universities, mentoring programs and work experience whether this be at a hospital or within the cooperate world. IAG aims to support students with their higher education aspirations whether this be securing a place at some of the top universities or on a higher /degree apprenticeships.
Throughout our extensive IAG programme shaping our students for future success is paramount especially with the changing face of the world of work as we know it. Students will be supported through tutorials, career events, informal information afternoon/evenings.
