Reception – Teddy Bear’s Picnic – Thursday 23rd June

Reception are having a Teddy Bear’s Picnic next Thursday 23rd June at 2pm.  Can the children bring in some snacks, please remember no nuts however, and of course the children can bring a teddy bear to the picnic.  This will be held at school at 2pm.  Parents and Carers are invited and we look forward to seeing you all on the day for lots of fun and games.



Queen’s 90th Birthday

The Queen celebrated her 90th Birthday recently.  To celebrate this event alongside raising some money for our school resources we are hosting a birthday party for the Queen on
Thursday 23rd June 2016.

On this day the children can come to school in non school uniform incorporating the colours of the Great British flag (red, white and blue) or come dressed as a king or queen for the day with a £1 donation.  In the afternoon the children will participate in exciting royal activities to celebrate the Queen’s Birthday including writing letters to the Queen, pin the tail on the corgi and creating our own crowns.

Year 3 – Lion and Zebra Class – Visit to London Zoo

Our Year 3 children will be visiting London Zoo on Friday 15th July.  Letters were sent out to parents with full details.  The cost will only be £16 which will include entrance and the journey to and from London Zoo.  The is our first visit to London Zoo and we are sure our Year 3 are very excited.  How lucky!

Freshwater Theatre Company

The Freshwater Theatre Company will be visiting our Year 1 on Tuesday 12th July for an educational activity that will support your child’s learning during our topic “The Seaside” – letters will be sent to parents of Jellyfish and Octopus Class with further details.

They will also be visited on Wednesday 13th July – this time it is the turn of the Penguin Class who will be learning further about our topic “Away to Africa” – full details will be sent to parents of Penguin Class.

We are very fortunate to have the Freshwater Theatre Company visit us and has proved to be very popular and we looking forward to seeing them.

Penguin Class – Cambridge Y12 Art Exhibition

Penguin class have been lucky enough to be invited to the Year 12 Art Exhibition at the Cambridge site of Edmonton County on Friday 24th June. The children will be taking the short walk to the Cambridge site, with Primary School adults, to take part in an exciting afternoon. The children will take part in photography, sculpture and drawing activities, working alongside the students who have created some fantastic work. This is an exciting opportunity for the children in Penguin Class and we are very much looking forward to it.

The children will return to school at normal time ready to be collected at 3.15pm or go to their respective clubs.
