Year 11 Photograph

On Monday 21st May at 3pm the Year 11 cohort will be having their photograph taken.

This year the photo will be taken on the Bury campus.

Teachers of Year 11 on that day will bring their classes to the Bury playground for 2.55pm, where the students will be asked to line up.

The students will be dismissed as soon as the picture is taken, which should be no later than 3.30pm. Students will be expected to wear full uniform.

School Closure 28th March

Dear parents and carers.

Further to the Newsletter of last week, I am sorry to tell you that Edmonton County School will be closed to students on Wednesday 28 March 2012.

The National Union of Teachers (NUT) has called for industrial action as the next step in the pensions campaign. This strike call is for London schools and the number of teaching staff who are responding to the call means that we cannot operate the school safely on Wednesday. However, some teachers of Year 11, 12 and 13 classes will be making arrangements with their classes to teach on Wednesday.

I am pleased to tell you that the Year 12 UCAS Trip to Olympia will go ahead as planned. The students need to be at the Cambridge Campus for 7.45am to allow the coaches to depart promptly, the expected return time will be 1pm. This is a very important trip to allow the Year 12 students to make informed decisions about their university application.

I apologise for any inconvenience that this news may cause you but hope you appreciate that it is beyond the school’s control.

Yours sincerely

Dr S Tranter Headteacher
