Year 1 Jellyfish Class – Visit to Ridge Avenue Library

We are pleased to share with you that Jellyfish Class will be visiting the local library, Ridge Avenue Library, on Friday 8th May 2015.  The visit will take place in the afternoon and the children will be back in school for collection at the end of the day as usual.

The visit will be in order to develop the children’s understanding of their own local community, as well as offering the children the experience to enjoy the library setting and a wide range of new and exciting stories.  Reading is vital in order to develop your child’s imagination and creativity, as well as to develop a love for stories and storytelling.

In order for the visit to take place, we will need some support from parents and carers to ensure the short walk is made as safe as possible for the children.  This would also be a great opportunity for you to recognise how to choose appropriate books for your child.  If you are able to accompany us to the library, please see Miss Jordan for more details.  Please note, without adequate parent support we will be unable to make the visit, so please do donate your time if you are able to do so.

Thank you.
